VOLVO COMPACT EQUIPMENT is a dedicated entity within Volvo Construction Equipment, created to seize business opportunities in the growing segment of Compact Equipment.
VOLVO COMPACT EQUIPMENT is currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Key Account Manager to drive and coordinate sales activities across Europe for Compact Products with large multi-national customers focused primarily on Rental Companies.
The Key Account Manager will BE responsible for developing a long-term relationship with customers and dealers to build customer solutions, profitable sales growth and drive the transformation on e-mobility and services.
This role requires a team player with a strong understanding of the compact equipment market and industry, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales. Experience with senior level key account management and executive relationships.
This role will also BE part of a larger team that focusses on Compact Equipment Sales Growth through all Channels to Market.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities :
- Build and take ownership of the strategic agenda and partnership development between selected accounts and Volvo CE : develop a long-term partnership with selected accounts to build the Volvo Business through different markets and relevant dealers. With other members of the team build a rental strategy and solutions covering the whole market
- Grow profitable revenue streams with selected accounts (machine sales, services and solution sales) : Develop customer strategies, business models and services to maximize the business and profitability
- Drive the transformation on E-mobility : Drive the transformation journey with key accounts and use key accounts as the enabler for business with the customers customer. Develop tailored business models to help support the transformation as well as related services and solutions
- Build trust, relationship and business value on a regional and local level : Develop relationships to best support and drive a growth in the business both on an international level and as well as a more local or regional level. Drive active engagement and participation in industry relevant associations, representing the value that Volvo CE can bring to the industry and our customers
- Act as a bridge between customers, dealers and Volvo CE : Build a cross functional collaboration and a direct links to create an efficient and reactive business. Ensure coordination between local teams and regional teams, and also with Volvo CE Strategic Accounts.
What we are looking for / Key Skills :
- Applies understanding of the construction equipment industry to develop the Compact business with a focus on Key Account Customers and the Rental Business.
- A passion for driving sustainable transformation across the value chain.
- Self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Exhibits personal sense of urgency and follows through on customer needs.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain strong relationships. Demonstrates effective conflict resolution skills.
- Able to work across different markets and regions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and balance short-term and long-term needs.
- Good business acumen and applies advanced influence skills to achieve win-win results in negotiations/proposals /improvements discussions, etc.
- Anticipates market trends and initiates strategies to take advantage of changes.
- Sets and communicates high performance standards for self and others. Maintains and promotes the highest moral and ethical standards. Ability to originate and implement effective business process change. Take risks and make quick decisions when required.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken. French and other languages a plus.

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position :
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, finance, or management
- Minimum 5 years practical commercial working experience, preferably in Compact Equipment
- Direct selling and negotiation skills
- OEM experience in working within a distribution model preferred.
- Good financial acumen
