Our new Product Quality & Value category focuses on improving the quality and market value of animal products like milk, meat, and eggs, benefiting both producers and consumers.
Role Overview :
As the Global Category Manager, you will define and implement the long-term strategy and business plan for the Product Quality & Value category. You will work closely with Product Managers, Species Directors, and other stakeholders to achieve sales and profitability targets. Your role includes overseeing product innovation, market positioning, and strategic partnerships to ensure Adisseo's outperformance in the industry. The Global Category Manager Product Quality and Value position encompasses the role of Smartline Product Manager (the Smartline is the range of Amino Acids Adisseo products dedicated to Ruminants).
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 3-5 year business plan based on market needs and strategic inputs.
- Co-lead the product innovation pipeline and collaborate with R&I on product development.
- Manage product positioning, marketing, and competitive intelligence with Product Managers.
- Align commercial objectives and targets with Species Directors and Sales & Marketing leaders.
- Contribute to species solutions development with various teams.
- Set budget objectives with Regional Directors.
- Develop new acquisition opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Manage relationships with key external business partners and subcontractors.
Travel : 30-40%
Qualifications
Work Experience :
- Strong knowledge the feed industry and animal production.
- Experience in the feed industry, particularly in ruminant nutrition.
- Amino acid balancing knowledge
- Business management or sales experience in a B-to-B and international environment.
- Product or product category management.
- Project management.
Skills :
- Effective leadership and team spirit.
- Customer-centric approach.
- Ability to work in a multicultural, matrix-structured organization.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Result-oriented with the ability to prioritize and get things done.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages (French, Dutch, Spanish) are a plus.
