We are looking for a Uptime Buyer for a permanent contract in Lyon.

Who are we ?

Are you ready to join the Uptime Véhicule Purchasing department in Group Trucks Purchasing ?
We are a dynamic and multicultural team of seven buyers. We are split between Lyon and Gothenburg. We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in an agile and challenging environment and is eager to contribute to our collaborative procurement activities.

What you will do ?

You will BE responsible for a purchasing portfolio of parts delivered to Volvo warehouses globally. You will BE leading the purchasing activities on your scope with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the customers maximum satisfaction.

Your main responsibilities are :
- Manage your Uptime portfolio.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers in order to secure the best QDCF-TSR performance.
- Highlight improvement opportunities and drive negotiations.
- Drive supply chain optimization (SCO), performance supplier improvement activities.
- Manage risk mitigation and crisis activities.
- Build and maintain a strong relationship with internal cross-functional stakeholders such as Service Market Logistics, Commodity and Project buyers, Spare Part engineering, Brands, Quality etc.
- Propose resourcing activities if needed; drive activities related to the supplier switch.
- Own and develop the global Segment Business Plans.
- Scout and seek for the best suppliers plus bring creative and innovative solutions on this segment on the whole value chain (challenge design, sourcing & contract, procurement).
- Foster the Volvo values (customer success, trust, passion, change and performance).

You will directly report to the Head of Uptime Véhicule Purchasing.

Who are you ?

You have between 2 and 5 years of successful experience in procurement.
You have proven negotiation and analytical skills. You are used to interact with suppliers.
A first experience in the automotive industry would BE appreciated.
You are recognized for your positive mindset and good team player.
You would like to work in a collaborative team for a common purpose.
Master's degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field.
Verbal and written English skills are mandatory.
