As a Staff Software Engineer at Ankorstore, you'll serve as a technical leader participating in the Engineering Architecture Group that shapes our overall technical direction.

You'll BE the guardian of the engineering excellence throughout the software development lifecycle, advocating for solutions aligned with our tech strategy and vision. In this role, you'll balance hands-on development with technical leadership, mentor team members, drive continuous improvement, and thoughtfully evaluate new technologies.

You'll help power our B2B marketplace and service offering connecting brands with retailers through technical and product excellence.

Main Responsibilities

At part of the extended product and tech leadership team, here are some of your responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for teams, providing guidance on architecture, design patterns, and implementation approaches
- Participate in the Engineering Architecture Group to develop and evolve Ankorstore's technical strategy and vision
- Drive engineering excellence through code quality, testing practices, performance optimization, and security standards
- Mentor engineers of various levels, fostering their growth while allowing them space to develop and showcase their skills
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Identify and advocate for technical improvements and refactoring opportunities to address technical debt
- Evaluate new technologies and methodologies with critical thinking, recommending adoption when appropriate
- Contribute to high-quality, maintainable code, particularly for complex features or systems
- Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Front-end : Vue.js, Typescript, Vuex, sass, webpack
- Back-end : PHP 8.3, Laravel 10, Golang
- Infrastructure : GCP, Kubernetes, MySQL, Redis
- Tools : Github, CircleCI, Sentry, Notion

Preferred Experience
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 2-3 years in a technical leadership role (Tech Lead, Staff Engineer, or equivalent)
- Deep expertise in at least one domain : backend systems, cloud infrastructure, or front-end systems
- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable distributed systems
- Strong understanding of software architecture patterns and principles
- Strategic thinking balanced with pragmatic implementation
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for varied audiences
- User-focused mindset when approaching technical problems
- Experience mentoring and growing other engineers
- Track record of driving engineering excellence and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on practical solutions
