Senior Product Definition Analyst(PDA) - API Management
Introduction :

API Management is the essential solution for an enterprise to embrace a digital strategy and enable business based on APIs. IT provides our company with a competitive edge by accelerating our time-to-market, supporting flexibility in our content offering, and facilitating integration with our partners.

This solution bridges the gap between our businesses and technologies, requiring extensive knowledge of Amadeus processes in designing and promoting APIs, managing their life cycle via our control plane, and deploying and servicing them via our API gateways.

Given these perspectives, we have a company-wide approach to leverage our expertise and software through a common API management platform for the benefit of our Business Units.

Our department is responsible for designing, delivering, and operating the API Hub product, previously known as Amadeus For Developer, and moving towards the new strategic positioning of our company based on cloud platform standards and the new creation platform. Our ambition is to bring API management capability as a service to any ecosystem and any consumer.

Our evolution path is driven by the Platform Portal and Interfaces train, which is part of the Creation Platform train, therefore working in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and our scope covers all aspects attached to our product, involving PDA (Product Design Authority), QA (Quality Assurance), Developers, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), Support, and Implementation teams, in a multi-site context across Nice and Bangalore.

We are looking for a PDA who can navigate complex situations and contribute to the strategic direction and development of the API HUB, as the API ecosystem is continuously evolving.

In this role, you will have a chance to ;

Assess Requirements :
- Analyze business requirements provided by Product Management.
- Collaborate and exchange functional/technical knowledge of our processes and usage of end-user products.
- Contribute to the estimation of requirements.
- Integrate and communicate business needs into new product concepts or upgrades.
- Support stakeholders in conducting sufficient analysis to ensure requirements are ready to BE worked on.

Functional Design :
- Develop comprehensive documentation including feasibility studies, solution overviews, interface control documents, and product specifications.
- Collaborate with relevant divisions and departments to identify interactions with other Amadeus applications and ensure functional compatibility.
- Define the user interface (UI) and backend (BE) specifications based on business requirements and common guidelines.
- Work closely with developers and organize internal specification walkthroughs.

API Design :
- Define the scope of the APIs based on business requirements and user needs.
- Follow the API design process :

- Design data models, schemas, interfaces, and protocols for the APIs.
- Ensure consistency of resources in Stoplight Data Dictionary.
- Create an API contract (swagger) using Stoplight.
- Present the work accomplished on API design to the API board.
- Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders to ensure the quality, consistency, and compatibility of the APIs.
- Document API design and functionality for internal and external consumers.
- Test, debug, and improve the APIs, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.

Overview Validation :
- Contribute to the implementation and review of test plans to ensure compliance with delivered functionality and system integrity.
- Ensure traceability of tests with specifications.
- Ensure production integrity by investigating, validating, and prioritizing reported incidents.

Continuous Improvements :
- Suggest ways to improve documentation to make IT comprehensive and precise.
- Recommend process improvements for specifications, documentation, solution design, proactive maintenance, etc.

Manage Relations with Key Stakeholders :
- Collaborate and communicate with Product Management and SAFe Troika.
- Interface with customers during requirements understanding, functional specification, testing, and implementation phases.

Participate in Team Events :
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies within the team and train : PI Plannings, Stand-ups, Refinements, Retrospectives.

About the ideal candidate :
- At least 5 years of experience as a product definition analyst.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with all stakeholders (functional and technical teams).
- Good understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework).
- Experience working with different teams across various locations.
- Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
- Creative and proactive approach.
- A professional who can solve difficult problems, manage, and collaborate with teams effectively.
