Détail du poste

Description de poste :

Location : Flexible within France with hybrid working possible, within reasonable commuting distance of a Mars site (Aimargues, Paris, or Haguenau)

Segment : Mars Global Services

Contract Type : Permanent

Currently, our business relies entirely on external contractors for developing Impact Factors. Over the past two years, the demand from various segments has increased substantially, creating a strong business case for internalizing this work.

The Sustainability Analyst will serve as an internal consultant, developing emissions factors from diverse data sources (e.g., LCA, Farm Tools, etc.) and integrating them into our systems to support business decision-making. This role will collaborate closely with Segment Program Leads and Segment R&D Sustainability Leads. Key milestones will include delivering the Annual Impact Accounting.

What are we looking for?
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative data analysis, with a focus on life cycle assessment (LCA)
- You have a degree in agronomy, engineering, data science, or a sustainability-related field (e.g., Life Cycle Assessment, data management).
- You are proficient with LCA software such as Simapro, openLCA, or GaBi.
- You have a strong understanding of LCA principles, methodologies, and tools, along with technical knowledge in sustainability.
- You possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- You can work independently and as part of a team, adapt to change, and consistently deliver results.
- You are able to quickly discern relevant information to make sense of complex situations and accurately define problems before developing solutions. You understand stakeholder needs, handle change with ease, and proactively address challenges.

What would BE your key responsibilities?

Impact Factor Development
- Develop generic emission factors using the WFLDB and Ecoinvent databases.
- Update supply-specific emissions factors and derive emissions factors from reviewed LCA outputs.
- Contribute to the internal (Q4) reporting process for Mars Healthy Planet data.

Data Accuracy
- Review supplier-provided LCAs to ensure accuracy and consistency with ISO standards and Mars internal guidelines.
- Identify data gaps or issues, escalate for support when needed, and collaborate with Mars sustainability leads and the corporate team to address them.

Communication
- Engage with stakeholders across various departments to gather necessary data and insights for LCA calculations.
- Work flexibly with global teams across different time zones.

Continuous Improvement
- Stay updated on advancements in LCA methodologies and tools, incorporating best practices into analyses.
- Stay informed about relevant environmental regulations, standards, and reporting requirements.

What can you expect from Mars?
- At Mars, we believe in a relationship of mutual trust, dignity and respect between our company and Associates that is more meaningful than the standard employer/employee relationship.
- As Associates, we can expect to BE respected, supported and valued as individuals, to BE treated fairly and equitably.
- You will BE able to participate in volunteer programs and put The Five Principles in action today to help create the world we want tomorrow
- At Mars, we are committed to helping create a safe, healthy, and sustainable world for our partners and the communities in which we operate.
