Based in Grenoble and Dunkirk (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).
We now focus on building the world's most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.

We are currently looking for Senior Prismatic Assembly Engineer to join our Process Development Department, more especially our Prismatic development team. As such, you are responsible for the systems related to Assembly processes. The role will evolve from planning the Gigafactory line to then setting IT up. You are embracing the objective of building and structuring Verkor as the most advanced battery manufacturing company in the world.This role is located at our Innovation Center in Grenoble, France.
Responsibilities :
- Commissioning the proto, pilot and Gigafactory assembly process from process design to SOP.
- Collaborating with the product engineering team to optimize the assembly process for the cell design.
- Improving assembly by increasing the level of process automation, which will save capital and operating costs.
- Testing and validating state-of-the-art technologies for use in the assembly process.
- During operation, you will complete root cause investigations into defects in the assembly process.
Requirements :
- Evidence of exceptional ability. Verkor follows a culture of full-cycle engineering where members will have full responsibility and accountability for their projects from start to finish. We are looking for the best of the best.
- >10 years of manufacturing engineering experience
- Experience in battery manufacturing environment, particularly with lithium-ion battery cell Assembly
- Experience with products sensitive to environmental conditions, such as the electronics or food industries. Clean room and dry room experience will BE useful.
- Experience with root cause analysis, defect reduction, and failure analysis.
- Experience with custom automation equipment (development of critical process requirements/testing plans/layouts/utilities)
- Strong statistical and data analysis skills with tools such as Python, Matlab, and Minitab.
- Preferred : M.S. in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Materials or similar discipline.
