Amadeus Airport Cloud Use Service (ACUS) is a next-gen Microsoft Azure based Common Use platform. Through application virtualization technology, Amadeus has moved Airline Departure Control Systems (DCS) and other applications from the airport core room into the cloud, enabling on-demand access to passenger processing systems; anywhere, anytime. As part of the ACUS team you will BE instrumental in designing applications and middleware that will shape the travel experience of our customers and BE a vital contributor in the evolution of ACUS.

Within ACUS teams, as a Software Developer, your main responsibility will BE to collaborate on the improvement and maintenance of the Amadeus CUPPS Platform (Common Use Passenger Processing System). CUPPS is a globally accepted standard introduced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) which describes the range of services, specifications, and standards enacted to enable multiple airlines, service providers, or other users to share physical check-in or gate podium positions whether simultaneously or consecutively. In tradition, each airline would have its specific check-in desks and technical systems, whereas, with CUPPS, the airlines and other airport stakeholders easily share the same equipment. Amadeus CUPPS Platform is implemented in Java, runs in the Cloud and communicates with Airline applications and with the REST of ACUS technical stack.

Your Main Responsibilities

Common accountabilities & Key Result Areas :
- Works autonomously within defined processes and procedures or methodologies, takes standard decisions and may support the development of solutions to complex problems of a recurring nature.
- Analyses software requirements for the development of new (or upgrade of existing) software solutions.
- Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting of software products.
- Designs and implements interfaces and middleware software for the integration of Amadeus Airport IT products into the airport/aviation industry and operating environments.
- Diagnoses and resolves software problems.
- Coordinates installation of software systems.
- Conduct unit, package and performance tests and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
- Develops code for extensive test coverage, performs continuous deployment in a professional software engineering environment.
- Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation.
- Participate in the validation phase of the product cycle, fine-tuning when necessary to finalize the product.
- Support the customer by debugging existing solutions and provide fixes when necessary.
- Produce software documentation necessary for the application and issue IT to the requesting departments.

Competencies :

Technical Skills
- Java
- Git, Jenkins, CI/CD
- Agile methodology of software development

Knowledge on the following is a plus :
- PowerShell
- MS Azure basic knowledge
- REST APIs
- CUPPS specification
