JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT

The Plant Finance Apprentice will support the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance analyst to provide timely and relevant financial information, in relation with the Operations & Supply Chain activities of our Néolait business, based in Yffiniac, France.

In this role

In this role, you will work closely with different stakeholders to ensure the plants financial results are reported timely, accurately, and are appropriately analyzed. You will provide continuous improvement of financial reporting best practices. You will take responsibility for the accuracy of the inventory valuation and product costing, ensuring accuracy and exhaustivity of physical flows along the month and their correct translation into inventory value.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Control and analyze the monthly stock valuation in close collaboration with the operations & supply chain teams.
- Control the flow of goods and communicate the outcomes of the production process to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide strong finance support p for the local site management team by understanding and supporting the local business challenges, risks and strategies.
- Contribute to design/execute efficient cost accounting and controlling processes and analyze the monthly manufacturing cost and plant performance.
- Support the control of physical flows and ensure reclassifications of stocks are reviewed and validated.
- Foster continuous improvement in the finance team, challenging status quo and play a leading role in increasing effectiveness and efficiency of our wider finance team.
- Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Completing Masters degree in Finance/Controlling/Plant Accounting
- Strong data & analytics literacy (Excel, Power BI, data bases & querying tools)
- Interest in farming/breeding & animal nutrition industry
- Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning tools
- Experience working with activity based costing
- Experience with variance analysis statistical tools

PRIOR BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCES
- Cost accounting and controlling processes experience.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning systems.
