Based in Grenoble and Dunkirk (France), we have recently started operations our Verkor Innovation Centre (R&D centre and 4.0 pilot line).
We now focus on building the world's most modern and efficient Gigafactory in Dunkirk (France). With this facility, our ambition is an initial annual production of 16 Gwh of lithium-ion batteries by 2025, thus powering 300,000 electric vehicles annually.
In joining us you will actively participatein this breathtaking industrial adventure to shape the future of European mobility.
- Develop novel methodologies to characterize Li-ion battery electrolyte properties- Design and use custom-designed electrochemical cells- Measure transport properties through a set of established and novel electrochemical methods- Run analytical characterization experiments incuding densitometry, DSC, GC-MS, FTIR, etc.- Analyze data and discuss regularly with engineers and scientists and draw meaningful conclusions, contribute to Verkor Li-ion cell development- Run existing mathematical models or develop new models (both depending on candidate's interest) in Python, Matlab, or COMSOL- Present results to the multi-dsciplinary Product Design Engineering team- Construct database
Your responsibilities will BE without being limited :
- Develop novel methodologies to characterize Li-ion battery electrolyte properties
- Design and use custom-designed electrochemical cells
- Measure transport properties through a set of established and novel electrochemical methods

Requirements
- 3rd year engineering school or 2nd year master's student in electrochemistry, electrochemical engineering, experimental physics with strong grade records
- Satisfactory English level (oral and written)
- Good knowledge in applied thermodynamics, physical chemistry and transport phenomena
- Open to dynamic multi-disciplinary topics and work environment
- Familiar with/interested in programing tools including Python and Matlab
- Track record in journal publication is a strong plus
- Familiarity/experience in mathematical modeling is a strong plus
