YOUR ROLE :
The Middle Office Department of the CMA CGM Group is responsible for monitoring market operations, treasury, and debt. This position requires a solid understanding of financial markets and derivative instruments. Knowledge of the carbon credit market will BE an asset. The holder of this position will work closely with the front office, back office teams, as well as compliance and risk management departments
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
This role involves a range of responsibilities critical to maintaining operational efficiency and compliance within a financial organization.
- Monitoring and control of market operations : Confirmation of transactions, valuation of products, management of events, and payment of due dates.
- Monitoring of the derivatives portfolio : Valuation of products and associates, and realization of monthly accounting closures in IFRS and social standards (interface with the accounting department, consolidation, and auditors).
- Reporting and documentation : Producing regular reports on market activities, open positions, and potential risks. Ensuring rigorous documentation of all operations.
- Reconciliation and validation of operations : Ensuring data consistency between front and back office systems and validating executed transactions.
- Regulatory watch : Staying informed about regulatory developments and market trends to anticipate impacts on operations.
- Interdepartmental coordination : Collaborating closely with compliance, back office, and risk management teams to ensure smooth operation management.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
This role requires a strong background in finance, particularly in derivatives, along with excellent analytical and communication skills. The ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing environments is also crucial.
- Degree : Master's in finance, economics, risk management, or a related field.
- Experience : Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the derivatives sector.
- Certifications : CFA, FRM, or any other relevant certification is an asset.
- Knowledge of financial markets : A solid understanding of financial markets, derivative instruments, and hedging techniques is essential.
- Analytical skills : Ability to analyze complex data and identify potential risks.
- General knowledge of carbon credit market mechanisms and associated derivative products.
- Rigor and attention to detail : Ability to produce accurate reports and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with different teams.
- Team spirit : Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments and work as a team.
- Adaptability : Ability to quickly adapt to a constantly evolving environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Languages : Proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken.
